BBQ Announcement

We've expanded the area of competition. Any team in the state of Geogia can compete this year. There were 28 teams from Coweta County last year. How many can be get from across Georgia?

With the expanded area, we expect more teams. If 40 teams enter, the prize money will be as follows: 1st $150, 2nd $100, and 3rd $75 per category. The grand prize will be $500 and reserve champion will be $250. With 50 teams, the prize money gets even higher.

Can you give an update as to the number of teams already signed up, and the current payout?

We are looking at entering this competition, but are curious as to the payout in relation to the entry fee.

I believe we have 5 teams signed up as of today. We are beginning our advertising push next week, so we are hopeful that the number will begin increasing next week.

The number of teams will start to increase the closer we get to the event. Last year the teams waited until the last couple of weeks to sign up and we had 27 Teams. So we expect at least that and more this year.

I attended the 1st CUIS and want all to know it was an awesome event. Something for everyone and the BBQ was the MAIN EVENT. Peoples Choice is more than worth it. You can eat some of all the BBQ and the final decision is a tough one. I highly recommend getting out there for great entertainment and the best BBQ. All the Teams were more than happy to share some eats with folks walking by and some tips. Great Job Guys. I'll attend every year!
